CIPP Lining

A Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) is one of several trenchless rehabilitation methods used to repair existing pipelines. CIPP is a jointless, seamless, pipe-within-a-pipe and Empipe has the capability to rehabilitate pipes ranging in diameter from 150 mm to 1200mm.

For municipal, commercial and industrial property owners, we offer CIPP lining technology services to enhance performance by repairing cracks, holes, fractures, corrosion and more.

What Is A CIPP Liner?

Over time piping systems experience wear and tear. Empipe provides solutions with trenchless rehabilitation methods, state-of-the-art technology and equipment, and experienced industry professionals. We repair pipes from 150mm to 1200mm in diameter with Volatile Organic Compound Free Systems (VOC) in sanitary or storm systems, culverts, and outfall pipes. The VOC System is an ASTM International approved product that consists of a cured-in-place material combination of felt or fibreglass mixed with a resin compound. Once a calibration tube is inserted and the system reacts to air pressure, the resin begins to harden and transform into a new and improved pipe wall. It’s smooth, corrosion-resistant, and crack-free!

How Do Trenchless
Sewer Repairs Work?

We use CCTV inspection video cameras determine where the issues appear. We use high quality images in our detailed assessment report for pipes 150mm to 12000mm in diameter. Before the CIPP lining can take place, we use a host pipe to clean out any remaining debris. Once the resin mixture hardens, a new, strong, smooth, and effective solution is created for efficient water flow with zero discoloration.

How Long Does A
Sewer Liner Last?

Liners are designed and tested to the same standards as a new pipe, holding a life expectancy of around 50 years. It is a cost and time efficient solution when compared to open-cut pipe replacement methods. This method helps reduce environmental impact by eliminating digging large areas. They provide a fast and convenient solution, avoiding traffic and business disruptions.

State-Of-The-Art CIPP Lining Technology

We have the capability to repair complex pipeline issues and we can strategically place full or partial liners. Fibreglass mixed with resin compound materials make for a fast and easy installation process.

Small Diameter To
Large Diameter Repair

As mentioned above, we can rehabilitate 150mm to 1200mm pipe sections but call us today to ask about how we can rehabilitate the coating on larger-scale projects.

Sewer Laterals

We rehabilitate the liner in drains that lead from the municipal sewers to lateral sewer lines. Our high-end trenchless technology allows us to perform CIPP lining without digging up the area. Our thorough and professional techniques can repair any structural defects.
